Samira Tunic in Engineered Tile Print Indigo
Playfully interpreted in a signature U&O block print that was inspired by traditional Athangudi tiles commonly seen in South India. Printed in the traditional kalamkari block printing technique using a combination of natural dyes. Kalamkari is a special block-printed cotton textile that refers to the ancient style of hand painting that was born out of the art of storytelling. Making Kalamkari fabric involves 23-steps including treating and preparing the fabric, preparing the dyes and finally hand printing with precision and care.
The Samira tunic has soft gathers, billowy sleeves and versatile styling options. Style as you please – wear alone as a dress, layer over pants or wear open as a light outerwear piece.
Hand weaving muslin fabric is a showcase of craftsmanship that evokes a feeling of woven air with its lightness. Handwoven on a pedal loom, this fabric is delicately woven using handspun yarn, the fabric has a unique drapeability that is light and airy, perfect for everyday summer wear.

Produced in a limited run with exclusive handcrafted fabrics. Due to its handmade nature, each piece is unique. Indigo dyeing is a special process that also requires extra care. Indigo bleeding is normal in naturally dyed garments and after several initial washes, the color will stabilize. Over time, the natural and graceful fading process results in a uniquely personalized piece.
We recommend hand washing separately in cold water using natural detergents and drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are designed to last when treated with care.
