Lila Jumpsuit in Engineered Tile Block Print Madder
Playfully printed on the Lila camisole jumpsuit. A one-and-done summer favorite, the Lila has adjustable spaghetti straps for a desired fit, a scooped front neckline, a dropped crotch and wide cropped legs.
We reinterpreted a signature U&O block print that was inspired by traditional Athangudi tiles commonly seen in South India. Hand block printed in the traditional kalamkari block printing technique using a combination of natural dyes. Kalamkari is a special block-printed cotton textile that refers to the ancient style of hand painting that was born out of the art of storytelling. Making Kalamkari fabric involves 23-steps including treating and preparing the fabric, preparing the dyes and finally hand printing with precision and care.
Our naturally dyed kora fabric is an ideal weight for the summer and provides ease of wear throughout the warm season. With a unique hand feel due to the hand weaving of its handspun yarn, kora is our signature fabric.
